2020-2021 Virtual Season
We are excited to announce our first video release:
The American folksong “How Can I Keep from Singing” has been posted on multiple media outlets
Please check back as we still have several releases in the works:
- In observance of the holidays we will record “In the Bleak Midwinter,” which will express the feelings of loneliness and isolation that our community has been experiencing during this time. This will be recorded in November for a December release.
- For our February release, we will record the inspirational “Lift Every Voice and Sing” in celebration of Black History Month.
- As outreach to young people and families, our March videos will feature movements from Saint Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals.

About Columbia Civic Orchestra

Columbia Civic Orchestra ("CCO") is a volunteer group located in Columbia, Missouri, dedicated to providing enjoyment for its members and audiences with the presentation and preservation of high-quality symphonic music. We aim to achieve the following goals:
- to develop and inspire local talent in classical, orchestral, and chamber music;
- to bring together people of all ages to share art and friendship;
- to spread the love of music throughout the community; and
- to facilitate the presentation of other art forms, such as dance and choral music.
Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, and the City of Columbia Office of Cultural Affairs.
